Federal law requires us to verify your identity before opening an account.
To help the government fight financial crime, federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.
What this means for you: When you open a paype.cc account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and government-issued identification number. For individuals, we require a government-issued photo ID (passport, driver's license, or national ID card) and a selfie for liveness verification. For businesses, we require company registration documents and identification of Ultimate Beneficial Owners.
We verify this information through the NamedCoin Organization's identity verification service and other methods as required by law.
We may also ask to see additional identifying documents if we cannot verify your identity through standard methods.
Your information is protected under our Privacy Policy. We retain identification records as required by law (5 years after account closure under BSA/AML requirements).
