How paype.cc collects, uses, and protects your personal information. Effective June 2026.

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how paype.cc collects, uses, stores, and shares your personal information. We take your privacy seriously. This policy is written in plain English — not legalese.

Paype is a Money Services Business. We process personal data to provide payment services, comply with financial regulations, and prevent fraud.

2. What We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

  • Identity information: Name, date of birth, government ID, selfie (for KYC verification)
  • Contact information: Email address, phone number, physical address
  • Business information: Company name, registration number, jurisdiction, UBO details (for business accounts)
  • Financial information: Bank account details, wallet addresses, transaction history
  • Communications: Messages to support, dispute submissions

2.2 Information We Generate

  • Transaction records: Amount, currency, rail, counterparty, timestamp
  • Risk assessments: Compliance scores, transaction monitoring alerts
  • Audit logs: Cryptographic signatures on every state-changing action
  • Device information: Device type, IP address, browser fingerprint (for security)

2.3 Information from Third Parties

  • KYC verification: Confirmation from NamedCoin Organization
  • Sanctions screening: OFAC and international sanctions list matches
  • Bank verification: Account ownership confirmation
  • Blockchain analytics: Wallet risk scoring

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information only for:

  • Providing services: Processing payments, issuing cards, executing crypto transactions
  • Compliance: KYC/KYB, AML screening, sanctions screening, SAR filing, regulatory reporting
  • Security: Fraud detection, account protection, device verification
  • Support: Answering questions, resolving disputes, handling complaints
  • Improvement: Analytics to improve our services (aggregated, anonymized)
  • Legal obligations: Responding to court orders, regulator requests, law enforcement

We do NOT sell your personal information. We do NOT use your data for marketing to third parties.

4. How We Share Your Information

4.1 Service Providers

We share data with providers who help us operate: cloud infrastructure, KYC verification (NamedCoin), banking partners, card networks (Apple Pay, Google Pay), blockchain analytics, customer support tools. Each provider is bound by contract to protect your data.

4.2 Payment Counterparties

To process your payments, we share necessary information with: recipient banks (for SWIFT/SEPA), card networks (for card transactions), and blockchain networks (for crypto transactions — your wallet address and transaction amount are visible on-chain).

4.3 Compliance and Legal

We disclose information when required by: FinCEN (SAR filings), OFAC (sanctions compliance), court orders, subpoenas, regulator examinations, and law enforcement investigations.

4.4 Business Transfers

If Paype is acquired or merged, your data may transfer to the new entity. You will be notified.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data only as long as needed:

  • KYC/KYB records: 5 years after account closure (per BSA/AML requirements, 31 CFR §1010.410)
  • Transaction records: 5 years after the transaction
  • SAR-related records: 5 years from filing
  • Support communications: 3 years after resolution
  • Marketing consent records: Until consent is withdrawn

After retention expires, data is securely deleted or anonymized.

6. Your Rights

6.1 Access

You may request a copy of your personal data. We respond within 30 days.

6.2 Correction

You may request correction of inaccurate data. Many fields can be updated directly in the app.

6.3 Deletion

You may request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention requirements (BSA/AML records must be kept 5 years even after account closure).

6.4 Portability

You may request your data in a portable format where processing is based on consent or contract.

6.5 Opt-Out

You may opt out of: marketing communications (unsubscribe link in every email), non-essential cookies (see Cookie Policy), and sale/sharing of personal information (we don't sell your data, but you have the right to opt out).

6.6 California Residents

California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA: know what we collect, access your data, delete your data, correct inaccurate data, opt out of sale/sharing, and non-discrimination for exercising these rights. Submit requests to hello@paype.cc.

6.7 Automated Decision Review

7. Security

We implement technical and organizational measures: encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, audit logging, regular security testing, and employee training. See our Security page for details.

8. International Transfers

Paype operates from the United States. Your data is processed in the US. When we transfer data outside the US to banking partners or service providers, we apply contractual safeguards consistent with this policy.

9. Children's Privacy

Paype is not intended for persons under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us immediately.

11. Changes to This Policy

We will notify you of material changes 30 days in advance. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
